Pastor Mike & Debbie Wareing

Pastor Michael Wareing

was saved in a small Baptist church in New Hampshire where he spent most of his early life and young adult years. Both he and Deb studied in Pensacola, worked as teachers for many years at the Christian school in New Hampshire (when they finally got married after running into each other repeatedly) then both accepted the call to head to California as a missionary to local churches. They settled in as staff at Wolf Mountain Camps in Grass Valley, California, where he served the youth as both a teen camp director, science camp teacher, church liaison, and school administrator, while Deb ran the front office, ran Hospitality, and oversaw the coffee shop. During this time, they both developed a close connection with several churches in the area, providing resources and pulpit supply.

When they left Wolf Mountain, they stayed in the region in order to continue helping churches. Mike managed an Escape Room to pay the bills in order to continue to provide pulpit supply and resources to local churches, particularly those that needed help due to missing or overextended pastors. After about two years in this role, God moved them back into full-time ministry.

When Pastor Blankenship left in the summer of 2024, Mike stepped in as interim pastor until November of the same year, when he was voted in full-time.

Debbie was also saved in the same small church, attended the same college, and has been his traveling companion and partner ever since. Her valuable skills in the area of design, music, and general concern for those around her (as well as her unflagging energy levels to keep up with the demands of four children and an active ministry) have made her a crucial partner in the ministry.
